Eyam Hall is an enchanting family home, full of warmth and character, making it the perfect venue for an intimate civil ceremony for up to 50 guests. Here you are given the personal attention and choice to select exactly what you dream of for your wedding day.

As well as the ceremony itself, we can offer a small wedding reception in our lovely gallery room or a much larger reception in our marquee adjacent to the beautiful gardens. We can also use the private dining room for an intimate wedding breakfast for up to 16 people.

Civil Ceremonies

The hall, where the ceremony is held, is a charming room, bathed in sunlight during the summer and made cosy by the flickering flames of a log fire in the winter. Family portraits adorn the walls and two rare 17th century bacon settles flank the fireplace. The Bechstein grand piano and a pianist are available if you would like music as part of the ceremony. You can get ready in our Tapestry Room and make an entrance down the Jacobean oak staircase.

After the ceremony drinks can be served in the historic garden and photographs taken against this stunning backdrop.

Outdoor Garden Ceremonies

New for this year we are now able to marry couples outdoors in a beautiful garden setting. The ceremony takes place under our stunning wedding pavillion. As the couple, you sit or stand under the pavillion along with the two registrars and your two witnesses. Your guests sit outside on the lawn. A canopy can be provided for your guests by prior arrangement.

Gallery Receptions

Wedding parties of up to 40 can hold a reception in our delightful gallery room at The Stables Restaurant. This is a romantic listed building with ancient beams. Why not download some menus to whet your appetite? In addition to these Eric, the chef, will be happy to design a menu to suit your taste.

Marquee Receptions

Our marquee area is adjacent to the historic garden where you and your guests can wander throughout the day. The site itself has beautiful views of Eyam Edge, giving the feeling of wide open space with all amenities close at hand. The marquee has windows on two sides so the views can be enjoyed and on a warm day the sides can be opened up. You can download menus from The Creative Chef, our appointed outside caterer.

The marquee site is available whether or not you use Eyam Hall for your ceremony.

Receptions in the Dining Room

For a really special wedding breakfast for a small number of people (14 or fewer) why not have a meal in our private dining room cooked for you by our in-house chef, Steve Brown. Steve will design a menu for you and discuss all your requirements.
