School VisitsYesterday’s Child Make history really accessible by relating it to children from the past. A friendly and informative costumed guide will take your party on a tour of this fascinating family home, investigating the passage of time through the eyes of the Wright family children from 1660 to 2007. Children meet Elizabeth and find out what kept her busy in the 17th century. They find out about the changing face of toys, games, clothes, lessons, sanitation and food through three centuries up to the present day.The tour finishes with a hands-on session in the old kitchen making a pomander and writing a scroll with a quill pen. Suitable for Key Stages 1 and 2, this is an ideal opportunity for children to use the characters they meet on the tour to discover for themselves what life was like at Eyam Hall over the passage of time and compare it to their lives in the present day. School Tours are available for the Summer term and Autumn term until half term on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Advance bookings only. Prices: Child £3.25 1 Adult per 10 children free, extra adults £4.50.
