Christmas at Eyam Hall

Christmas at Eyam Hall
My turn to tell you what is happening at Eyam Hall between now and Christmas. The Hall is now closed to the public, so Jack and I can stroll around the garden whenever we like (actually Jack doesn't really do strolling - more hurtling in his case!) Our favourite game is chasing the squirrels. They always seem to beat us as they can climb trees and we can't - yet! Our favourite day is Tuesday when all our wonderful gardeners come to entertain us. They never tire of throwing sticks for Jack so he is out in the garden helping them all day. I usually put in an appearance at lunchtime when the sandwiches come out. It's amazing just how appealing a small hungry white dog can be!

Christmas started early at Eyam Hall Craft Centre and there are Christmas gifts in the shop and the craft units. I'm pleased to say that Mum has excelled herself on the purchases and we have a lovely selection of dog mugs and key rings in Honey Buzzard Gift Shop. Fiennes tells me that his Dad, Gavin, has loads of hand made wooden dog gifts at Crafty Red Fox as well so that's Christmas sorted for all you dog lovers.

Yesterday all the Christmas trees and lights went up in preparation for our two "Christmas Sundays" in the Craft Centre on 27th November and 4th December. We've got choirs singing carols, live music from The Bee- keepers (no bees I'm glad to say!), carols on hand bells and roasted chestnuts as well as loads of festive food in the Buttery and Christmas gifts in all the units. Some of the music will be in the Hall so you can see how we decorate that for Christmas. You may even catch a glimpse of Jack and me, if we're allowed to mingle. Do come and join us between 12 and 4.

Wishing all our friends a very happy Christmas.

Woofs and licks,
Lulu
