A sight for my sore eye!

A sight for my sore eye!
Well the house has been rather busy recently with it being open Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, not to mention the weddings most Saturdays. Mum and Dad are very pleased but I have to say that I most certainly am not. Whilst everyone is enjoying my lovely garden full of all the treats that I have buried in secret places, I have to stay in the kitchen and with Mum and Dad so busy that means I only get taken out on the field about three times a day! Do I sound spoilt?

I have had many visitors recently; mainly other dogs including one rather special one called Ruby. She first contacted me on email (she is very clever) and sent me her picture (above). She asked if she was welcome to come round my garden, which of course all dogs on leads are and she played with me for a long time. I am sure you will agree she is very beautiful and at just six months old, just the right age for me! I am three in October!

Talking of sights for sore eyes, I hurt my eye recently. I have had three friends come to stay with me over the weekend, Jack and Lulu (Granny and Grandpa’s dogs) and Buster. Buster is a pure Lhasa Apso about my age and colour and only lives in Grindleford. He comes to stay quite frequently. In fact, Mum and Dad love him so much they would like to keep him. (Not more than me though. I am number one!)

Anyway, Mum and Dad finally had an evening to themselves and went out for dinner. Well, Buster and I got into a big fight over MY chew and he ended up hurting my eye. The next day Dad took me to the emergency vet and we had to wait for two hours to be seen. The nasty vet gave me two big injections and two types of eye drops. Because I was so brave, I did get lots of extra love and treats including scrambled eggs for breakfast and roast chicken for dinner. So for now I am not allowed to play but my eye is healing well and tomorrow I have to go back to the vet for another check up. So keep your paws crossed that I don’t need any more medication and I will let you know how I get on soon!

Love
